Richard B. Cheney has worked as a public official over a number of years, and is also a successful businessman. Cheney is currently Vice President of the United States. Dick Cheney is a former chief of staff to a President, he served in Congress as well as Secretary of Defense. Both Republicans as well as Democrats admire him for his honesty and integrity. Cheney has said that the role he plays within the administration as one of a frank but discreet adviser to Bush. Cheney is adamant in accepting his nomination as the Republican vice president that he would like to be a president candidate who will be a cross-partisan collaborator and work with political rivals with good will and for an unifying cause. Richard Bruce Cheney born Jan 30th, 1941 in Lincoln Nebraska, the son Richard Herbert Cheney the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. When he was 13 years old, he relocated along with his parents to Casper in the western part of Wyoming and his father directed the local district of soil conservation to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
